A gear (6) and a synchronous body (2) are mounted on a transmission shaft. A shift collar (4) with coupling teeth (4a) is arranged next to the synchronous body. A synchronizer (8) having teeth (8a) is arranged between the synchronous body and clutch ring (10). The face (4b,4c) of the shift collar, front surface of the synchronizer and at least one face of the gear are selectively provided with a silencing coating.
