An arrangement for stirring and homogenizing glass melts comprises a stirrer core (12) which is rotated about a rotational axis (26), and stirrer blades (24) which protrude from the core. The blade geometry is such that the pressure difference between the front and rear of the blade during rotation of the core is minimal.
