The oil separator (1) has a cyclone (3) which has gas inlet (2) for vent gases and an oil outlet (4) for separated oil. The exhaust casing (6) has flow channel (7) which separates the inlet flow area (9) connected with the cleaned gas outlet (5) from the outlet flow area (10) connected with the outlet port with corresponding gas flow. The flow channel has a fin (13) for distribution of gas flow.
