The device is for water metering for a flushing unit of toilet units, whereby the flushing unit (29a,30a) has at least one feed pipe (2,6) for hot water and cold water reaching to the flushing unit and in which the hot water and the cold water are mixed together. An operating means are provided by which the hot and/or cold water portions flowing into the flushing unit are controlled in dependence upon a water temperature. An independent claim is included for a cistern (29a) for a toilet unit, especially a water closet (30), urinal, and suchlike, equipped with the aforesaid device.
