Motor vehicle`s e.g. two-lane road vehicle, tilting danger reducing method, involves using difference between maximum and marginal roll angles as input variable for controller to adjust additional steering angle at steerable wheels
The method involves deriving additional steering angle at steerable wheels of a motor vehicle from a current measured vehicle transverse acceleration. An estimated maximum roll angle which is derived from the relevant transverse acceleration is compared with a predetermined marginal roll angle. The difference between the maximum and marginal roll angles is used as an input variable for a controller to adjust the additional steering angle.
