A method for tracking an object in a number of sequentially 'photographed' images in which each of the images of an image recording device is photographed in a specified zone for all the images, and an object in a first image is identified from a number of sequentially photographed images, followed by ascertaining a first part-zone containing the object within the first image and identifying the object in a second image of the number of sequentially photographed images, and then ascertaining a second part-zone containing the object within the second image. The first and second part-zones are then made ready for a tracking display of the object within the specified zone. Independent claims are included for the following; (A) A device for tracking display of an object; (B) An arrangement for tracking display of an object; (C) A computer readable storage medium; and (D) A program-element for tracking an object.
