Display unit comprises a first emitter substance (E1) which emits at a first wavelength so that a first color imprint is produced and is applied with a pre-defined surface of the image point and a second emitter substance (E2) which emits at a second wavelength different from the first wavelength so that a second color imprint different from the first imprint is produced and is applied within the pre-defined surface of the image point. An independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a display unit. Preferred Features: A support, on which the image point is applied, an anode and a cathode for applying a voltage to the image point are also provided. A cover protects the image point.
