A childbirth stimulation unit has an impulse generator (1) with plastic sleeved (5) electrodes (4) attached to the uterus wall and abdomen with ultrasonography position control and cardiotachygraph (6) trigger (3) stimulation in the refractory phase of the child heart beat. Independent claims are included for stimulation procedures using the unit.
