The motor vehicle comprises a body structure (1) and at least one cockpit unit and at least a further structure module (4,5) which can be fitted onto the body structure so that the cockpit can be fixed thereon. INDEPENDENT CLAIM describes method for manufacturing several different vehicle models wherein a first model has a first required installation height for the cockpit unit which is fixed on the body structure whist a second vehicle model has a second required taller installation height so that the cockpit unit can be fixed on a structural model which is fixed on the body structure.
