The plastic and metal components are pressed together and the metal component is then heated at the interface area to at least the melting point of the thermoplastic material. While retaining pressure the assembly is cooled. For joining at least two thermoplastic plastic components, a metal component is placed at the contact area between the two plastics before heating. Plastic components include ketone molecules and metal components contain elementary chrome, iron or aluminum.
