The prothesis has a support (1) which can be implanted in the upper femur underneath the trochanter. An adapter (3) to take an artificial hip ball (4) can be connected to its proximal end (2). The outside edge of the support is partly covered with an open-meshed three-dimensional net structure (6) whose distal area (7) has a smooth surface to lay on the lateral inner corticalis in the diaphysiar area of the femur.
