The engine has a cylinder (11) containing a combustion chamber (12), where air flow is supplied to the chamber via an intake manifold (26). The intake manifold is connected with an air storage tank (35) via a connecting pipe. The connecting pipe supplies air from the storage tank to the intake manifold, such that the air is supplied to the chamber. The pipe is arranged before a throttle valve in a direction of the air flow. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method of controlling and/or regulating an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle (B) a storage medium for a controller of an internal combustion engine including a computer program for use in a method of controlling and/or regulating an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
