The method involves applying connecting medium on one glass panel (25,26) with partial hardening of connecting medium and forming edge from connecting medium which varies in height. Other glass panel is placed on edge by mechanical fixing with a natural interrupted gap. Formed units are preheated on first temperature and evacuation of intermediate area (27) during further heating of unit takes place. Further heating of connecting medium is done on temperature necessary for connection of natural interrupted gap and gas tight connection of glass panel is formed. Unit is cooled on ambient temperature and mechanical attachment is loosened if necessary. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Device for execution of the method; and (B) Device for evacuating intermediate area from units and for filling intermediate area with process gas.
