The method for repairing leaks in tanks or pipes for fluids under pressure comprises: (A) applying a support layer (1) of rapidly-curing polymer to a mold or the surface of the tank in an area free from leaks; (B) mounting valve-controlled drainage (4, 5) and fastening straps (6, 7) in the layer before it cures; (C) applying a thin base coat of impregnating agent to the pad produced; and (D) fastening it over the leak using the straps.
