The cylinder core (2) is rotated by a key to open the lock unless an electromagnetic block is in operation to prevent rotation. Failure of the block due to strong magnetic fields also causes a magnetic control member (10) to enter a pocket (11) and non-magnetic blocks (14,14') in pockets (13,13') to fall into the first pocket to prevent further rotation.
