A head (16) is provided at the distal end of a stand (10) mounted in a barrel (30). The sharp end of a needle (18) protrudes from the proximal end of the stand. A cannula (44) is connected with the distal closed end of a hub (40) having a chamber in which clipper springs (38) are compressed to connect the hub with the barrel. A seal (60) is mounted in the open end of the barrel.
