The injector (110) has an injection valve element (134) for closing or opening an injection opening (152) and an actuator (172) e.g. magnetic-actuator, controlling the element. The element is movably supported in an axial direction in an injector body (122). A high pressure chamber (132) is formed in the injector body. The injection valve element is partially included in the high pressure chamber. The high pressure chamber is defined by a connecting piece (126) that is included in the injector body. A high pressure supply bore (192) ending in the chamber is provided in the connecting piece.
