The door for a freestanding refrigerating appliance has a wall panel (10) forming an outer side of the door (2) and an insulating panel (9) installed on the rear side of the wall panel and which on at least one of its side flanks has a hole (16) in which engages a pin fitted on the wall panel. The pin extends through a hole in a bracket (14) rigidly connected to the wall panel and lying opposite the side flanks. The pin is in the form of a screw (15), and the hole in the side flanks has a thread interacting with the screw.
