The engine has a crank lever or an eccentric tappet (4a) of the shafts and a rotary piston (1) forming a volume that changes in a housing region. An internal contour of that housing region section wise corresponds with an outer contour of the piston, so that an upper dead center volume is almost zero and a dead space does not exist. An end sided strip effects a stroke during the revolving of the tappet shaft. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an exergy-internal combustion engine.
