The tension device has a tension sleeve (1) set in a housing (2) and having an axial bore for holding a shaft section (4) of the rotational body. The sleeve has a first axial end section (10) with radially inner area (12) whose inner circumference surrounding the bore forms a first tension face (16) for the shaft section. The sleeve has a second axial end section (20)with radially inner bore (22) whose inner circumference forms the second tension face (26). The sleeve has a centre section (30) between the two axial end sections and surrounding an inertia mass (32). Hinged sections (40,50) are between the centre section and axial end sections and the sleeve has at least one radial slot in the first, second and centre sections. The hinged sections are each formed by an area having a reduced diameter compared to the relevant end section and centre section.
