The system has an electronic starter lock and an electronic ignition key with an ignition lock housing (1). A key guidance is arranged in a linear relocatable manner, where the key guidance takes two firm rest positions inside the lock housing. The key shifts the key guidance along a bend against the force of a leg spring (4) in the housing. A driver drives the spring to a rest position during insertion of the key in the key guidance.
