An infrared pyrometer temperature measurement spot display unit has a laser or LED (Light Emitting Diode) light source (2) and quasi static electrically or magnetically steerable micro mirror (1) array controlled to generate a preset image matrix pattern (8) displaying temperature information. An independent claim is included for a pyrometer using the display unit.
