The connector to join cords together, e.g. Jacquard machine harness cords, has a holder (1) for the first cord and a second holder (2) inserted into it with the second cord in the axial direction (A). The two parts are held together by a ratchet lock action for security and release. The second part is in one piece formed by multi-component injection molding, with one ratchet lock section (3) and operating unit (4) to work with the ratchet lock in the other part in a twist action. Both parts have tapered ends (7,11) to take the cords through them.
