The switch consists of housing (3) with support, release lever (8), traction cable with tooth contour (6) on a holder part (7), and ratchet element (5). When the lever is actuated, a release element (9) is moved in direction of the toothed part, to move the spring-loaded ratchet element out of the area of the tooth contour, and then to arrest the turning movement of the released cable by engagement in the tooth contour. The single toothed holder part is fastened non-turnable to the cable resp. the cable winder (1).
