The cooling module (1), for an automobile, is composed of a plastics cooler (2) for the motor coolant and a metal condenser (3) for the vehicle air conditioning coolant circuit. The two units are joined together with a direct solder connection to form a cooling block. The first cooler has a block (9) of tubes and ribs and collectors (13,14) at both sides. The condenser has a block (4) with tubes and ribs parallel to those of the cooler block and with side collectors (5,6). The two units are bonded together by solder connections (15a-15d) at their lateral sides (8,10) and/or at least one lateral side and the side collectors.
