The method involves receiving weather forecast data by a data receiver, and determining another weather forecast data by an ambient sensor. The determined forecast data is compared with past weather forecast data in a data storage. The received forecast data is corrected based on the difference of the comparison. The operation of a device e.g. heating device (1), is adjusted to the weather that is expected based on the corrected data.
