The motional unit is mounted on the object holder of the platform (8) of the robot and has at least one object holder (21) which is movable about an axis (19,20). The axis enables through a rotational unit (17) a rotating movement or through a pivotal unit (18) a pivoting of the object holder. Independent claim describes method for machining workpiece by robots where an additional motion unit is used through which the number of degrees of freedom can be increased by at least one further degree.
