The console has a long and short sides pieces (13,14) having a connecting unit for attaching the console at the front side of a base plate or at a wall. A stopper and a clamping unit such as nut (19) is shiftable or fixable in the direction of the connecting unit and is arranged at the side piece (13) whose upper surface carries a frame board. The nut is swivelably held on a thread rod that is fastened to the piece (13).
