The system includes multiple inflatable tires, and rotation sensor (12) e.g. pulse generation sensor, that generates rotation signals based on the rotation of the tires. A pressure sensor (16) associated with the tire, generates a pressure signal based on the pressure level within the tires. A control module (18) receives the pressure and pulse signals from the sensors to monitor low pressure condition of the tire. An independent claim is also included for a method of detecting low pressure condition in a tire.
