The method involves having several arrays providing defined propagation directions for light which emerge from one of the arrays or passes through one array from a light source and oriented to an array of transparent elements. The propagation directions are provided with the position of the elements on the first array, second array, and the distance of arrays from each other. The directions intersect an image plane arranged in front of or behind both arrays. Images are produced on the image planes. The images are received autostereoscopically by an observer located outside the image planes. An independent claim is included for an autostereoscopic arrangement.
