The device has a driving pulse generator producing succession of driving pulses (D1-D3) according to a basic sample stored in a memory for an iteration cycle time (T) with rising time intervals (Th1-Th3) and declining time intervals. A reverse number of the time is sustained away from an audible volume in a condition, with switching frequencies and a harmonically overlapping intermittent specified frequency. An independent claim is also included for a method of operating a switching power unit.
