The production plant has a height adjustable platform provided over the water, with which finished units are directly lowered into the water for floating or lowered to a shipping height of a ship. The height adjustable platform is held in the port or sea-bottom by supports and connected to cables. The platform is a held by telescopic supports which are flooded when lowered and emptied when raised. An independent claim is included for a method.
