The unit has two fans coupled with respective ends of a crankshaft (12) of an air-cooled internal combustion engine (9) for cooling a cylinder of the engine by using the air supplied from the fans. An intake port is interposed between a crank case (13) and one of the fans, where the crank case is cooled by the air taken in from the intake port. The crank case rotatably supports the crankshaft.
