The floating component (1) with a housing which is connected to an anchoring component (5) by at least one cable has at least one element with eccentric inertia located in the housing, upon which acts the at least one cable (2) and sets the element in rotation in dependence upon a lift movement of the housing initiated by buoyancy forces. The element is coupled to a generator which converts the movement energy into electrical energy.
