The wall element (6) for the building of rooms, especially changing cubicles at swimming baths, has spaced apart, rod-like, projecting anchors (7,8) which in the region of the standing floor (5) are encompassed by muff-like round anchor plates (9), each of which is divided into several sections (10,11) which by fastening elements are interconnected, but releasable, in one piece, and which complete the round plate. The sections of the round anchor plate are designed the same at least on their outer side and may have the same dimensions.
