The retainer has a base plate and three suction cups (3) that are fixed through holes in three corners of the base plate which is fixed with a ring (4). The suction cups adhere the retainer to a smooth surface of e.g. roof, table top, engine hood, of a vehicle such that concavities in the surface are adjusted. The retainer is made of material that is insensitive to moisture, and saltwater.
