The extruded profile frame (1) has a groove (4) with sealing lips to accommodate the edge (2a) of a double-glazed window pane. The edge rests on a pad of adhesive (6) filling the gap (5) between the edge of the pane and a cross-member (4a). A flexible tongue (4b) bears against one side of the edge of the pane. There is a removable covering and sealing strip (3) pressing on the window pane opposite a fixed sidewall (1a,1b) of the groove.
