The bed has seat surfaces (7) that are arranged on a frame rack (1) and convertible into a couch surface (6). A convertible cover (11) covers a part of the couch surface in its covering position in such a manner that a hollow space is formed between the cover and the couch surface. The hollow space is used as a storage space for bed clothes. The cover permits the use of the couch surface in its holdup position.
