The brush has a drive unit (2) designed as a hand grip and provided on a handle. A brush head is detachable from the drive unit. An electric motor (3) with a set-unit gear unit is integrated in the drive unit and is fed by batteries and/or rechargeable batteries. A rotatable shaft (7) is flange connected to the motor. The shaft is connected with the head by insertion, turning or sticking, so that the head is displaced by rotation.
