The device has a temperature measuring point (8) attached in an inner side of a reference Bavarian veal sausage (7) in a water bath (5) of a saucepan (2) that is connected with a heat source (3). Another temperature measuring point (9) is provided in the water bath in proximity of the sausage. An indicator device (11) is connected with the measuring points and provided for displaying the temperatures of the measuring points.
