The railroad tie (10) has cylindrical middle constricted body (16) having height less than respective heights of two identical cylindrical end bodies (12,14). The lower surfaces of middle body are aligned with the end bodies. The width (28) of the middle body is narrower than the width (26) of the end bodies. Longitudinal tie core rods (32,38,42,44) are set freely in the middle body. An independent claim is also included for the stronghold railroad track.
