The valve for a pneumatic tire comprises a unit which serves for connecting the valve to a gas outlet (4) of a pneumatic pressure source (3), and incorporates a circumferential flange engaging with the quick-attachment device of the gas outlet. An independent claim is also included for an adapter for joining the proposed valve to a gas outlet of a pneumatic pressure source.
