The portable work-tool container comprises a shell-shaped housing made up of four walls (1, 2, 3, 4) and a container base (5). The container base has a holder device (7) to enable fixture of the container to a wall, roof rack or similar. The holder device may have two spaced-apart holder shanks (8, 9) underneath the container base arranged on a common connecting plate (10) that is connected to the container base. The container may be built as one-piece, with the holder device being made from plastic whilst the container base may be made from sheet metal.
