The display (7) is used for converting the measurement of the sensor into values. A scan button is used to activate the sensor. The probe (2) covers an electrical cover. The sensor is arranged within the flexible cover (22). The slide gate valve (3) is movable between the inward and outward position of flexible cover. A rigid internal positioning part is movable over the probe. A rigid external positioning part is secured to the housing and is connected to a part of the elastic cover. The housing comprises a selector switch switchable between an ear temperature measuring mode and a forehead temperature measuring mode. The rigid external positioning part carries a block element (211) on its lower surface and the block element is attached on the slide gate valve for switching the selector switch. The housing further comprises tiltable body shells (11, 12) which carry tapered walls (112, 122) and swiveling openings in the center of the tapered walls carries. Swiveling element is coupled between the swiveling openings. The tapered wall of the shell carries a guide pin that protrudes between tapered walls and is coupled to circular bent guide slit of the shell for relative rotating motion between the shells.
