The device has a housing (3) provided with inlet and outlet openings for a flow medium. Electrically conducting contact units are arranged, such that particles (2) carried along the flow medium are brought in contact with the contact units for realizing an electrically conducting connection between the contact units. The contact units are designed as a conductor and/or a conductor structure that is arranged on a printed circuit board. An independent claim is also included for a flow medium circuit comprising a device for detecting particles.
