The load securing device in load holding space of especially a vehicle, with a locking rod (P1) which locks into a recess by a locking element extendable from a profile (1), has the locking element in the form of a bolt (4) which has a hand grip (12) grippable from outside the profile. The hand grip passes through an elongated hole in the profile and is movable within it. The bolt is supported in the profile against a force accumulator (10), especially a helical spring.
