A protective helmet (1) comprises an optical path (3) with a beam-entrance point at the rear equipped with an objective (5), and with a front beam-exit point equipped with an eyepiece (31) for conveying an image of the scene behind the user towards the user's eye. The objective (5) is mounted in an oscillating way to enable adjustment of the inclination of the entrance axis of the optical path (3). Set along the optical path (3) is a de-rotating member (17) for maintaining correct inclination of the image that reaches the eyepiece (31).
