The invention relates to a solid-state amplification laser cavity (2, 4, 6), said cavity being driven and pumped by means of continuously-operating diodes, characterised in comprising at least two laser bars (36a, 36b), at least one means for triggering optical impulses (50, 52) arranged in that part of the cavity where the beam is least divergent and two mirrors (42, 44) defining said cavity, one of which is highly reflecting and the other partially reflecting.
