The invention concerns the immunologic assay of human chromogranin A (CgA) and a kit useful for said assay. Said assay comprises a step for detecting said chromogranin A (CgA) by reacting at least one monoclonal or polyclonal antibody which specifically binds with an epitope located in the amino acid sequence ranging between amino acid sequence no 145 to 234 starting from the human CgA N-terminal end. The assay can be carried out by competition with marked CgA or by the sandwich method using two antibodies, for instance the amino acid sequence 219-234 and the marked sequence 145-197.
