Device for influencing the posture of the ankle joint and of the foot

The invention concerns an apparatus for positioning the ankle and the foot, in flexion, internal rotation, external rotation, torsion, enabling through support and control of the body weight, with stretched knee, to recover the foot and ankle range of motion, while stretching the rear and lateral fascia of the leg, and incidentally of the foot, releasing their movements, as well as the inherent venous return circulation. The apparatus consists of: (I) a main component comprising: (1) a stop element (1) receiving the heel protected by a soft rubber volume (V10); (2) an inclined plane (IB) protecting the forefoot bones with a bonded soft rubber piece (V11) providing a dorsal flexion of the foot at 20°; (3) a vertical frame (IC) providing said inclination whereof the lower end (IC1) provides lateral inclination at 20°. (II) An intermediate component (II) nested above the previous one (IC) providing additional flexion of 10°, making a total of 30° while increasing the foot rotation by 10° bringing the total to 40°. (III) A supplementary component (III and III bis) providing further flexion of 10°, that is a total of 40° while increasing the foot rotation by 10°, making a total of 40°. In another embodiment, the apparatus consists of: (I) a main component (Fig. 7A) capable of being overturned, comprising: (1) a cavity (1) at the upper surface to provide a dorsal flexion of the foot at 20°; (2) a cavity (2) at the lower surface to provide a dorsal flexion of the foot at 30°; (3) an inclined plane (3) at 20° or 30° supporting the two cavities (1) and (2); (II) an intermediate component (4) nested above the previous one (A) enabling to increase the inclination; (III) two hemispherical appliances (5) providing a lateral rotation of the foot.
